8-Week Pottery Course
This 8-week pottery course consist of one weekly 2-hour pottery class over 8 weeks, during which the course covers hand building, throwing cylinders/cups, trimming, glazing, coiling and producing bowls and plates.
The course gives student the opportunity to create in a relaxing, social environment & is designed for first-time potters with the option for a more experienced student to be guided through what they wish to accomplish.
The price includes a bag of clay and firing and glazing of 4 pieces of work. Extra pieces can be fired for additional fee.
At the end of this course, students will be confident in glazing, wheel-throwing cylinders, slab & coil construction, & understand the process & terminology critical to ceramic art.

The course is suitable for over 12 year olds.
Kids' After School Art Classes
Driving Creek Kids' After School Class will run for 5 weeks with a weekly 1.5h session focusing on pottery wheel throwing with Sam Ireland and drawing with Paul Cornwell.
During the classes the kids will get a chance to make their own clay piece which to decorate by drawing. Glazing and firing of work is included in the price.
Aprons, clay and all materials and tools.
Clothing suitable for working with clay.
Classes are suitable for over 8 year olds.
A two-day workshop of clay making. Learn how to make pottery clay.
Day 1: We start by digging the clay, then mixing it into a slurry before sieving it and drying it over fire overnight.
Day 2: The dried clay will be transferred and pugged for use.
Take home a portion of the product of your hard work.
You'll be given a apron to cover your clothes, but please bring working clothes.
Working cloths and closed footwear. This will be messy!
Driving Creek is a vaccine mandated business and all visitors My Vaccine Passes will be checked on arrival.
